On Friday 23 November 2016, to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the forming of the Royal Australian Regiment the Colours of all the current battalions were present on the parade ground of the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, this was a memorable occasion. The photograph just below shows the Colours being marched down the steps to the parade ground.

The Colours were also present at the Last Post Ceremony held later that day to honour CPL Kevin Cooper from 2 RAR, who was Killed-in-Action on 26 July 1953 during the Battle of Samichon in the Korean War. A photograph of this moving ceremony is shown below.
