JOHN DEANE BUTCHER - R.I.P. We lost another member of Charlie Company this month when John Hugh Deane-Butcher lost his battle with cancer in the early hours of Monday 9 September. As we all know John was OC of 9 Platoon for the full deployment of 5 RAR's 1966-67 Tour of Duty in South Vietnam and was respected by all C Company members, another sad loss for the Mushroom Club.
